A trip from the folks

Well well well, it has been a very lazy 2 days, and rightly so. My (Rachel's) mom and dad arrived in Seoul last Wed. and we caroused the city for a full week straight. For 2 days mom and dad also got to be part of our classes which was just fabulous and the kids loved Teacher Melinda and Mr. Bratt! Gosh am I glad that I get to go home to a job with kids, I don't know how I'd handle an adult-only crowd. That is one thing I've definitely learned about myself over here. I've always loved kids, but at the beginning of the year they used to take energy out of me, now they give me energy. And they think I'm so funny too, so maybe its just a confidence builder, but I sure can get them howling!! So it was very wonderful having mom and dad here, and it's helped give us the final push before going home. We had something to look forward to and plan for, and now that they're gone we' ve only 4 weeks left that are going to fly by as we wrap things up and train new teachers. I'll add a few pics of mom and dad's visit. And to newcomers to the blog world, just want to let you know that you can add comments on our site. I'm not exactly sure how, but I know that you can. We'd love to hear from any of you!! Rachel

uh, i'm not quite sure i want to be called a blogger. it sounds kinda ugly. and i don't know what "other" you are talking about so let's go with anonymous. i am SOOO excited for you guys to come home! even though it is only for like 35 hours i am just pumped! last night javin and zander and i went to this new ropes course here in pueblo. it is definitely something we should do while you guys are here. it only takes like an hour and if you do it in pairs you will burn about two donuts worth of calories. hilarious! that is all i can say. i had the giggles so badly i almost gave out on the first section. z tried the zip line and still hasn't forgiven me. i don't know if he has ever swallowed his stomach back down before last night. i am praying that your departure isn't too difficult on anyone. love you both!!

Hi Rachel and Brandon!
It is exciting to see what you are up to wayyyy over there!! Rachel, I travelled with Brandon in Europe. I am hoping you have some way of doing laundry out there because I know how stinky Brandon's socks can get after a couple weeks with no washing!! Hope you are both doing well out there. How long are you gone for? Will Lynden area be home after that?!?!?! (We live near Seattle)...
