French cuisine

Last week I checked out Julia Child's cookbook, "Mastering the Art of French Cooking," from the library. When in France cook as the French do, right?

This morning I made omelets, Julia Child style... swirl, swirl, jerk, jerk. I made 3. One was a little overdone, one a little underdone, and one was perfection!

Tonight I went for the big league... "White fish with white wine sauce and julienned vegetables".... absolutely mouth-watering!!!

After spending some time looking at the recipes, I'd have to agree from the movie that one secret is simply ... butter. Truly though, anytime you mix white wine, lemon, butter and cheese, the outcome is likely going to be fabulous.

With my mother-in-law's potato bacon crepes for lunch, it was an all-French day!
